Quit Dieting




Right now there are so many diets on the internet. It’s hard to choose which one will work for us. And maybe it will, and maybe it won’t. When one diet fails, what do we do, we look for something else to try.  Or we just give up entirely and think we should just embrace how we look and feel. But I know and you know, we don’t like to except that answer.  Why is losing weight so hard? Well first thing, is talk to your doctor and make sure it’s not something medical, or maybe it’s your medication. Rule out that stuff first. And if everything is ok with your health, except needing to lose weight. Then what you need to do is either except the fact, or change your diet.

I have been on just about every diet out there, some work some don’t. The diet industry is making a killing with all these fad diets. I think they set us up to fail! Cause if losing weight was that easy we wouldn’t need all these different diets. We would just need one!! (and there is only one-that will work! I’ll get back to this point shortly).
We all know what we have to do, to lose weight. We just hate having to do it! We just get too comfortable in our lives

 If you look up the word dieting in Wikipedia it will say:

Dieting is the practice of eating food in a regulated and supervised fashion, to decrease, maintain, or increase body weight, or to prevent and treat diseases, such as diabetes. A restricted diet is often used by those who are overweight or obese, sometimes in combination with physical exercise, to reduce body weight. Blah blah blah......

Here’s my take on the word diet....THEY DON’T WORK...ya sure they work for awhile, but once you think you have a hang on it, you end up eating the way you used to, because you’ve been deprived. Long term, they don’t work! So what’s the point!!!


I’ve come to the conclusion, (and this is just my personal opinion)..... why not eat healthy? Combined with some kind of exercise. I think if we forget about dieting altogether, and just start to eat healthier we can do this! Now I’m not saying go all in and change your diet completely, that would be nice, but not all of us can do that. I would suggest start off slow, take out some of the bad foods, (I don’t think I need to tell you what they are,) out of your diet, and substitute it with a healthy alternative. And most importantly...in moderation. Try measuring your foods so you see the recommended serving size. Make it fun! It doesn’t have to be boring and blah. Find some healthy recipes and have fun!




I’ve been overweight since my 40’s, and I’m now in my very early 50’s lol. I’m tired of dieting, I’m tired of being overweight. So if your like me, let’s do this together and quit dieting!
Make healthier eating habits, moderate bad foods, and go outside and walk, run do something you like. Move that body!

So let's QUIT DIETING and live a healthy lifestyle. Cause after all  that's the only way to maintain a healthy lifestyle forever!
