Dry Shampoo

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU WASH YOUR HAIR?

"We all grew up being told we needed to wash our hair everyday. And well...that's not what they are saying today!"

Science says that the less we shampoo our hair that the better the hair will be. Which is totally true! The natural oils in your hair help to repair the hair shaft. The only thing is, we don't give the oil time to repair the hair as the oily "greasy" hair as we know it seems--dirty. So what do we do?? We wash it!! And all those natural oils....go down the drain.

So in answer to your question, we should wash our hair 1-2 times a week.  This will help your hair to repair itself. A way to help it is every morning and evening before bed comb or lightly brush your hair from the roots to the ends of your hair. Like your mom used to do when you were a little girl. (Yes...our mother's always new best!) As this will help it along. And not to far in the future you will begin to see results. No more dry dull hair...but healthy shiny looking hair! (also helps your hair to grow!)

Tip from yourmaingirl...

The day I wash my hair I like to treat the ends of my hair with my #1 Beauty Secret Coconut Oil. I just rub some on the ends of my hair and hour or two before I plan to wash it. Comes out silky soft.

SO IN BETWEEN THOSE SHAMPOO DAYS TRY THIS... Dry Shampoo...

What is Dry Shampoo?

Dry shampoo is a very fine powder that is in a spray bottle. It is applied just below the scalp. Try to avoid the  scalp if you can as it will only make your scalp itch later. I tilt my head upside down and then I flip my hair over and gently massage into hair to get all the oil. It's that easy.

There are many different brands of dry shampoo out in the market. So try a different one until you find your favourite!

NEVER  USE A DRY SHAMPOO ON WET HAIR ...NEEDS TO BE DRY HAIR.

Tip from yourmaingirl: If you don't have any dry shampoo you can use baby powder.

Thanks for hanging out on my blog. Hugs from yourmaingirl.
